None of that seems to help. I’m willing to try just about anything, I don’t have anything important on this partition, so worst case scenario I just reinstall. Unknown This device is not working. I’m running this on a 19″ LCD so yeah it looks awful. But if you choose to test if proprietary drivers work better, or work at all with this card, then you need to know how to revert system back.

These are options to install proprietary drivers. There is no guarantee that the system boots up normally after that.
It appears that the driver has installed, as Lknux can run nvidia-xconfig, which doesn’t help, and I can use the Nvidia Display Configuration tool instead of the Ubuntu one. Same problem, so again I removed the package and installed it through the proprietary hardware drivers manager. June 13th, 8. I know that nvidia works well with this card, but I am not sure that even will work. Next I tried using envy that also failed.
I tried the stable version first, no luck. After the first fail, that occured to me as well. 9500j bug has been reported and hopefully fixed very soon.
